We have an opening for a Registered Dietitian/CDCES or RD looking to become a CDCES to join our team. This is a remote position out of your home office. 20-40 hours a week providing virtual group and individual diabetes education and support programs using our Discovering Diabetes Telehealth System. Primary work hours - Monday through Friday, with most appointments typically scheduled between 8 AM and 6PM. Some weekend availability and flexibility in scheduling are preferred.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
- Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of nutrition and counseling practices in the diabetes and nutrition field.
- Conduct comprehensive, personalized nutritional assessments and manage continuous coordination of nutrition and diabetes care.
- Assist patients with diabetes technology/diabetes medication information.
- Lead and facilitate group and individual Diabetes Self Management Training sessions on assigned topics.
- Communicate compassionately, effectively, and enthusiastically with members.
- Assist in developing and maintaining nutrition/diabetes education materials and clinical procedures that are up to date with current research and standard practice.
- Must have experience demonstrating computer skills and a working knowledge of various software programs such as zoom and electronic medical record charting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- RD or RD/CDCES
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
- At least 2 years professional experience as a Registered Dietitian educating and helping people living with diabetes individually and in groups.
- Proficient in Motivational Interviewing.
- Must be a self-starter with the motivation and discipline to excel while working remotely from your home office and have the drive to take initiative, solve problems, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
- Fluent or proficient bilingual Spanish speaking preferred but not required.
